In fact, three other hacks also managed to beat Piconjo's movie, notably Delfrig's Z, which a. isn't the real thing, it released next week to very positive acclaim, and b. uses music from the Jackson 5 and hasn't been removed yet.

Hyun released a trailer for doors! the game, and launched a Kickstarter campaign, raising $34k out of a $40k goal. Do support this Kickstarter if you can, although we predict it will only just reach $36,000 unless some miracle happens in the near-future.

A 16 year old is hosting a 'Cute Cat Collab'. It just got put on the front page.

Chris Piche, aka the rapper who made a Kitty Krew song is hosting a 'BIG BOY RUMBLE TUMBLE' contest, which the front page accidentally refers to as 'Big BUY'.

Here, you must make a short animation featuring 'Big Hoss', who just happened to dethrone Morbius as 'The Character Of All Time' in a matter of minutes.

The rules are simple

1- Your entry MUST be created at 24fps and be between 5 and 20 seconds long. Submitting an animation above or below the limit will not be considered for the jam (though it will be for the collab).

Translation: Bog standard video format.

2- The aspect ratio must be 16:9, but the resolution can be 1920x1080 or 1280x720.

No one likes aspect ratio changes and quality shifts in between parts. Keep it consistent and mid-quality people!

3- Upload your animation to the movie portal using the tag "BigBoyRumbleTumble". We need this to find your entry!

Obligatory 'use a specific tag we provided' deal that Newgrounds did for over 2 decades.

4- No copyrighted music!! Use the audio portal if you need to add some.

This will get your submission and the collab removed.

5- No NSFW submissions... Big Hoss is a man of God.

Imagine a man of that size with no clothes on and his dick out. There may be some weird fetish who'd like that shit, but we personally don't, and we understand where they're going with this. You're fucked up!

Pee Man vs the Monkeys developer DefaultLabs has officially quit Newgrounds and deleted their account and all solo projects.

Their official reasoning, in a tweet they made on Saturday:

"I've had issues with moderators on newgrounds ever since I was a lil boyman but now that im putting more effort into projects, I cant afford to invest time in a platform that deletes or ignores anything I genuinely give a shit about"

I just want to make 2 things clear. Newgrounds will ONLY delete your shit if it gets blammed, OR if you break any of the rules. This means no copyrighted music, keep it as original as possible, and put personal pride into it. If somehow it still gets removed after taking all those precautions, contact Tom Fulp, he's usually the go-to man for sorting shit like that out.

Also, we're on your side. We're just as pissed off about the scores and mods as you are, and we've been trying to convince the "80%" to vote fairly for over a year already.

Doobus tried to crawl back into NG by whining at the security guards, then fighting back as they tried to drag him away. We recorded the footage and sent it off to another animator to incorporate into a cartoon.

Kitty Day has officially begun. The [KK] Mini-contest will still go on until August 17th

18th

The literal TV-quality half hour feature Monkey Wrench: The Ghost Egg has released on Newgrounds and is now sitting at a score of 4.83/5 and won the Triple Crown. (which is Daily 1st, Weekly 1st, and Review Crew Pick)

Obviously, 99% of the NG community praised it for its amazing visuals and soundtrack and the fact that Zeurel spent many years working on it with a team of ultra-talented animators and voice actors, although some have criticised it for subpar audio mixing, (sort by score and go to the last few pages.) with some pointing to the character Shrike (who is totally not an Earthworm Jim knockoff)

According to reviewer @FoolishHyde, "[Shrike's voice] is not a pleasing voice you'll have to listen to for the whole episode." "[He] is a walking stereotype and after this cartoon, one of my least favorite characters from this rising show. How his voice constantly switches to Spanish to English mid sentence, getting angry and switching to Spanish, etc."

"Beebs was great and so were some others, however the strongest points in this cartoon were the scenes were no characters were talking [such as in the montage]."

Other complaints include the music being too quiet in the fight scene

"The mixing from the fight scenes sounded almost pathetic and underwhelming due to the sole fact that it sounded like I was hearing it from the other room"

Newgrounds went down again, and it went back up one afternoon.

EBSynth animator @Goat-on-a-Stick (a blatant ripoff of Joel Haver) won their first Daily Feature. Goat appears to have joined Newgrounds less than 3 weeks ago and has started to upload their back catalog here after an already successful YouTube career with millions of views and over 150k subscribers. We in no way suspect any impersonation, Tom already knows.

Yesterday, YouTuber (and NOT a Newgrounder) @CraeYT posted not one but THREE 6 second clips about the 'We have come for our nectar' meme that's been going around lately, each one getting around 4 stars each.

According to user reviews, nobody likes this. In the screenshot below, more than half the userbase have shown disapproval for this behaviour. (Pages 5-9 are all 1.5 stars or lower, when sorted by score on the Undertale themed video)

As a result, a Twitter user spread the news and got 1.6K likes.

This was short-lived, as they deleted the tweet the very next day. But not before Crae made their response:

For existing NGers, you'll probably already know this, but for any new users, before you vote on a new submission, please take the animation's length, its originality, and whether the creator is just cashing in on a popular meme and appealing to the lowest common denominator into consideration before you vote. Please!

After Crae's three uploads, several more users began making their own version of the meme. Due to how short they are, it didn't take too long for submissions to come out. Whether you'd call these parodies, or whoring, is up to you, but regardless, they all took a beating.

But how long until the Friday Night Hunkin' episode of the Tricky or Whitty mod to come out before they lose that and return to the bottomfeeders they once were? They are not important. Doobus is not important! He's a narcissistic and scared whiny little bitch who will eventually topple over by his own hand until everybody sees how lame, unoriginal and most of all unimportant he is as a figurehead in the community!

He's also a mediocre artist who's on a different planet that believes that he’s a high ranking figure while making absolutely nothing to contribute to the “art form” of whom describes it as the most “limited” and “weren't up to snuff” medium of what we've been accepting as 'animation' to reach this platform to be viewed to our eyes, and to be sunk into our heads. 

All of those who are a part of any of these fanbases are condensed onto the communication platforms of discord, twitter, and youtube, where acts of arguments, hacking, doxxing, extreme amounts of drama, and cold war like sensibilities are put into place as one big pissing match to show which one is better.
